The Building Schools Exhibition and Conference (BSEC), the only event
of its kind in the UK, was designed specifically to bring together the
key stakeholders responsible for the implementation of the Government's
Building Schools for the Future programme, as well as focusing on the
infrastructure, maintenance and design of our schools. The two day
event provides a unique forum for all those involved in the school
rebuilding initiative, from policy makers to suppliers. BSEC 06 saw some of the leading figures from the government sector address the conference. Key speakers included Richard Bowker, Chief Executive, Partnerships for Schools (PfS), Mukund Patel, School Capital Assets, Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and Professor Stephen Heppell, a member of the ministerial committee responsible for the Building Schools for the Future initiative. They spoke to an audience of 952 delegates, alongside over 100 exhibiting companies from across the supply chain, making BSEC clearly the biggest, best attended and most authoritative school infrastructure event to date. BSEC is a combined conference and exhibition. As such it aims to bring together all interested parties from both public and private sectors, from education and the construction industry, creating invaluable opportunities for sharing ideas and information. The exhibition will provide suppliers with a unique opportunity to showcase their products and services to conference delegates and exhibition visitors responsible for policy, design, specification, procurement and management. |
