| Since its first edition in 1992 in Arc-et-Senans (France) the NFO series of conferences has provided a well focused forum for discussing near-field optics, from its fundamental principles to its numerous applications in physics, chemistry, life science, information technology, environmental and material sciences. Each edition of the conference has seen new facets of this field of research emerge and develop; the 2008 edition will certainly not disappoint us. |
