Some updates (and a consideration) on the Milan Show, that precedes the final rush. This is the latest news: - It is already possible for journalists (both Italian and foreign) and operators (foreign, for the time being) to pre-register on our site (www.eicma.it), and our advice is don’t wait: the sooner the better. - A significant collaboration agreement has been entered into with a Lottomatica company: Listicket/Lottomatica will be our partner for the presale of tickets for EICMA 2008. Visitors may buy presale tickets via the Listicket online channel, with a plug in active from our site. Listicket will make available to Eicma a dedicated call centre and will advertise the sale of the tickets on its website (6,000,000 visits per month). Advertising messages on the Show will appear on the telephone recharge receipts of the Lottomatica system (33,000 sales outlets, for 1,200,000 recharges a day), and maybe on Lotto receipts too. This can be done because Fiera Milano will make available free of charge handhelds, readers, network connections, and Listicket will install the wireless points needed at no cost. It will also be possible to buy the tickets for EICMA 2008 at about 800 sales outlets of the Lottomatica network, equipped with MAEL 370E terminals, which are distributed all over Italy. Moreover, Lottomatica plans to equip Milan and the hinterland with 40 new pools offices with terminals that will permit the presale of Eicma 2008 tickets. - The Bicycle Show is an event of ever greater significance, that cannot be missed by all bike fans: in addition to the “6-DAY” race, an “event within the event” (the participation of Paolo Bettini and other celebrated champions has already been confirmed), plenty of space will be devoted to the Mountain Bike, and GranFondo teams and organisers will be present at the Village to present their initiatives for 2009. One last, but no less important consideration is the price of the ticket to the Show. It will be the same as in 2008: 18,00 Euros. Is it a high price, as someone claimed last year? Consider that with a single ticket you will be able to visit the biggest Motorcycle Show in the world plus a major Bicycle Show, watch the “6-Day” race and Motolive. In particular, as far as Motolive is concerned, we wish to point out that among the countless competitions one of the Main Events will be a stage of the European Supercross Championship. We have before our eyes the promotional material of the European Supercross Championship stages that will take place in Milan in September and in Genoa one month after the Show. The price of the cheapest ticket (there are different types) is twice as much that of the Milan Show, which – let us stress this again – gives access not only to a stage of the European Supercross Championship, but also to many other shows, both in the Motolive area and in the bicycle pavilion, plus the “6-Day” bike race; it offers you a chance to spend a day among bike and motorbike champions, and, furthermore, to visit the greatest Motorcycle Show in the world, and a beautiful and qualified Bicycle Show. To the – very few – people who say they are not interested in the least in competitions, shows and sundry attractions, and they only come to the Show to visit the Cycle and Motorcycle exhibition, we reply that at virtually all international exhibits, of the cycle or the motorcycle alone, the price of the ticket is still higher than in Milan.
