Today, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the United States Telecom Association (USTelecom) announced plans for NXTcomm, a single new industry venue focused on the converged future as leading telecommunications companies become significant players in the entertainment community and push the boundaries of broadband innovation.

The two associations have joined together to create a single, much-needed industry venue that will serve as a gathering for where information technology and entertainment meet. NXTcomm will bring together the unique strengths at each trade association—TIA’s representation of supplier and technology companies and USTelecom’s representation of the world’s leading communications and entertainment companies.
