the Centro Fiera del Garda in Montichiari, Brescia, will host next Foundeq Europe, the sole reference event in Italy dedicated to all FERROUS AND NON FERROUS METAL foundries. This exhibition will take place along with Metef. The 2006 edition recorded excellent results: 544 exhibiting companies (411 Italian and 133 foreign), 16,225-sqm show ground, more than 17,000 visitors. Several conventions are being prepared. As usual, they will enrich the exhibition and the most important among them is the HTDC - High tech diecasting international convention organized in cooperation with Aim, Italian Association of Metallurgy. Foundeq Europe is promoted and organized by Edimet Spa in cooperation with Amafond, National Association of Foundry Machine and Material Manufacturers, and with the sponsorship of the major trade associations. One can not talk of Metef without mentioning Foundeq Europe, now in its 4th edition: Italy’s one and only exhibition of foundry machines, equipment and products. This successful event originated from the close collaboration of Edimet, the multimedia publisher for the metal industry, and Amafond, the Italian trade association of manufacturers of metal-casting machinery and equipment. Already from the first edition, Foundeq had been confirmed as a mandatory meeting ground for those in the business: a unique occasion of national and international visibility because of the number and quality level of the exhibitors as well as, and especially, for the number of qualified visitors. Priceless support by the industry, close collaboration with Amafond and the support of the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE), rapidly made Foundeq Europe the datum point for the Italian and European foundry business. As confirmation of the event’s national and international standing, the sponsorship of Cemafon - the European Committee for Foundry machinery and products - should be stressed, as well as the attendance of numerous foreign delegations. In this context, Foundeq Europe and Metef represent a profitable meeting ground for those in the business and a showcase of the latest casting technologies.
