The commercial vehicles play the important role in the modern diverse automotive world. The heavy vehicle transportation of goods and passengers is crucial for economics of every country or state federation. The Hi-Tech development as applied to the heavy-duty trucks, road trains and urban transport led to the birth of new high-performance, environment-friendly and safe engineering solutions. From this standpoint the congress, on which I kindly invite you, calls to perform an analysis of state-of-the-art in the science and technology and to discuss the forward-looking ways in this segment of automotive industry. The International Congress of Heavy Vehicles, Road Trains and Urban Transport is organized by Academic Automotive Association under patronage of International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies FISITA, and by the support of the Government of Republic of Belarus, Belarusian National Technical University, and the Belarusian automotive industry. We hope that the Congress participants will take unique opportunity in gaining the innovative scientific and technical information, establishing the research and business contacts. Besides the main Congress sessions, the programme includes a number of such attractive events as the Student Congress, SAE International, IFAC and IFToMM workshops. |
