COM-PA, the European Exhibition of Public Communication and Services to Citizen and Business, is by now recognised and valued as a privileged venue for exchange of views between Administrations, Companies, Universities, scholars, and operators involved in modernising the Public Administration, in terms of the efficiency of its services and in the quality of its relations with citizens. These are decisive goals for a Country such as ours which is going through deep changes, characterised by the recognition of new citizenship rights, cultural integration processes, and by the need for ever stronger competitiveness. In this direction, COM-PA has given an important contribution through qualified conventions and an exhibition area rich with innovative projects and avant-garde solutions to support and promote the change of the entire public sector. This exhibition - unique of its kind in and Europe - owes to such decisions its prestige and vocation for being a free and open place for debate and exchange of views. COM-PA was therefore created and developed thanks to the will and participation of those exhibiting and participating there. Exhibitors and visitors are, at one and the same time, the backers and protagonists of an event which, for this very reason, belongs to them. In this way, not only is the high quality of the convention initiatives guaranteed, but also the absolute "fairness" of the event. COM-PA does not benefit from financial supporters or from any form of continuity. It is not "in favour of" or "against" anything or anybody. COM-PA is and wants to remain a privileged observation point and an exclusively moment of verification and reflection that is key for a Public Administration looking to be modern and European. The Bologna Exhibition is promoted by the Italian Association of Public and Institutional Communication. During the three days of COM-PA, 7-8-9 November, debates, meetings, special initiatives, exhibitions and reviews will be supported by the input of illustrious guests and by significant testimonies of administrations which have made service to citizens, communication, innovation and administrative efficiency the qualifying characteristics of their specific activity.
