The reason for the organization of such a trade fair is, among other things, transport infrastructure being one of the most important criteria of the assessment of a country's social and economic development, in addition to being an important stimulus for economic growth. Weakness of domestic transport infrastructure, being the consequence of insufficient investments made within this sector, burdens the domestic economy, hampering its competitiveness and economic growth. The Ministry of Transport is concluding work on a few bills, the adoption and implementation of which will facilitate modernization and development of road networks, railways and public transport. Modernizing roads and renovating road surfaces are to be factors reducing the death toll on Polish roads. Last year, 5,300 people were killed in road accidents. The TRAFFIC-EXPO fair will be held simultaneously with the International Fair of Road Construction Industry Autostrada-Polska, the International Construction Equipment and Special Vehicles Fair MASZBUD, and with the AIRPORT TECHNOLOGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE fair, organized in the Kielce trade fair centre for the first time.
