Technical Sessions at the Small Engine Technology Conference will focus on applications such as motorcycles, scooters, marine, small agricultural and garden equipment, hand tools, snowmobiles, snow removal equipment, recreational vehicles and portable power generators. Major subject areas being addressed at the conference are as follows: - Engine & Drivetrain: two-stroke, four-stroke, combustion control systems, ignition, gasoline and diesel, hybrid configurations.
- Components: chassis, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, wheels and tires.
- Vehicle dynamics: drivability, handling, human factors, safety and ergonomics.
- Environmental Impacts: noise, vibration, emissions, and engine life cycles.
- Materials: composites, metal alloys, and alternative systems.
- Fuels & Lubricants: fuel systems, alternative fuels, lubricants
Exhibition sections: Prospective authors are asked to submit electronic abstracts of 300-500 words for consideration including a tentative paper title, author(s) name(s), mailing address, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers. In addition, each abstract should: - State the significance of the work to the progress of relevant engineering areas.
- Indicate whether the paper has ever been presented before.
- State the main conclusions of the proposed paper.
- Summarize the process by which the conclusions were reached.
