Around 45,000 visitors came along to the 12th international exhibition for hunters and anglers, which took place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from 6 to 10 April 2005. They were interested in finding out about new developments and new products for hunting and fishing, and in buying new equipment for the coming season. Visitor numbers have remained at a constantly high level. In 2005, 381 exhibitors from 18 countries (2003: 347 exhibitors from 20 countries) presented their products and services at Jagen und Fischen. Of these, 81 firms (2003: 61) came from outside . A survey at the event conducted by the independent market researchers TNS Infratest showed that 77% of the exhibitors rated the event as 'excellent to good'. Top marks went to the accompanying programme and the atmosphere at the fair. A special highlight of the fair were the daily presentations of hunting birds in the Atrium. The demonstrations of cooking with fish and game by top chefs like Alfons Schuhbeck were a big attraction with the gourmets, and were rated by 81% of visitors as 'excellent to good'.
