Kielce Trade Fairs will organize the 5th Fair of Renewable Energy
Sources ENEX – New Energy. This exhibition will be held
simultaneously with the International Power Industry Fair ENEX,
celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Patronage of the trade fair has been provided by the Minister of
Economy, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Team for the
Restructuring of Power Industry, the President of the Economic
Chamber of Power Industry and Environmental Protection, and the
Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.
The range of products and services exhibited at the ENEX – New Energy
fair will encompass state-of-the-art solutions within generation and
utilization of power and heat from renewable sources,
opportunities for subsidizing energy from renewable sources, methods of
storing and saving energy. The prospect of non-renewable organic fuels
running out, growing demand for energy recorded all over the world, and
the environmental protection result in alternative and renewable
sources of energy attracting increasing attention.
In September 2000, Poland adopted the Strategy for the Development of
Renewable Energy Sector, the aim being to increase the share of energy
from renewable sources in Poland's primary energy balance. The fuel
crisis of the early 70s made people realize that fossil fuels are
running out. It was at that time that a range of projects aimed at
saving energy, restructuring the conventional power sector, and
developing alternative energy sources were put into operation. At the
beginning, their costs seemed to be enormous. From year to year,
however, the utilization of renewable energy becomes increasingly
profitable, while the natural resources are very rich. In Poland,
following an ordinance of the Minister of Economy, an obligation to
purchase energy from renewable sources has been imposed - from 2.65% in
2003 to 9% in 2010.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a well-stocked programme of
specialist seminars and conferences, e.g. "Renewable Sources of Energy
ENEX 2006”, "Practical Aspects of Heat from Biomass”, "Biogas from
Organic Waste as a Source of Energy" and "Nuclear Energy for Poland".
There will also be a panel session on "Organizational Structure of the
Polish Power Industry”.
Last year's edition of this trade fair was attended by 99 exhibitors
from 4 countries - Germany, Slovakia, Sweden and Poland - who
specialize in the production of energy from both conventional and
renewable sources. The exhibition was visited by 4.100 professionals
(technicians, constructors, chief power engineers, ministerial
officials, investors) and representatives of local authorities from all
over Poland.
Exhibition sections:
- Renewable sources of energy (wind energy, solar energy, geothermal energy, hydro energy, biomass energy)
- Technology for extracting energy and heat from renewable sources
(biofuels, straw and wood boiler-rooms, geo-thermal sources of heat)
- Technology based on energy from renewable sources
- Storage of energy and energy saving
- The possibilities for financing renewable energy
- Sun collectors
- Fire-wood stoves
- Heat-radiators
- Bio-mass boilers
- Bio-fuel vehicles
- Devices and technological lines for peletes production
