Railway Catering Expo is a brand-new exhibition, which will be staged for the first time in Amsterdam in November 2008.
It is designed to create a 100% focused environment for senior executives and managers who are responsible for the catering operations within rail companies, railway catering contractors and turnkey service suppliers. With over 10 billion rail passenger movements in Europe alone each year, a rapidly growing rail travel market, and more discerning customers at all levels than ever before, the challenges for suppliers of food on the move and the opportunities for those responsible for purchasing and food service are greater and potentially more rewarding than ever.

In order to present real sampling experiences for visitors, exhibitors will be encouraged to create round-the-clock food and beverage sampling sessions, and a timetable of tastings will be drawn up and promoted to all visitors registering to attend. A highlight of the show will be the creation and launch of The Railway Caterer of the Year Awards, which will include categories for Best Hot Snack; Best First-Class Dining and Best New Catering Concept.
