Founded in 1947, Messe Duesseldorf currently has a workforce of over 1,400 worldwide. The group of companies achieved consolidated annual sales of around EUR 316 million in 2005, with Messe Duesseldorf GmbH generating sales of more than EUR 236 million. The roughly 252,000 square metres of gross exhibition space, spread across 17 halls, served as a platform for some 26,300 exhibitors to present their products and services to more than 1.3 million visitors.

Of the roughly 40 events staged in Duesseldorf, more than 20 are ranked as the global No. 1 fairs for their industries. The international network behind the Messe Duesseldorf Group of companies comprises 65 foreign representative offices catering to more than 105 countries as well as 13 direct shareholdings and subsidiaries.
